Equine Naturopathy

Coming Soon…

Your horse deserves the best care – care that supports not just the body, but the mind and spirit too.

Equine naturopathy is a holistic approach to horse health that works with the body’s natural systems, encouraging balance, vitality, and self-healing.

At Halo Clinic, we combine traditional natural therapies with modern complementary techniques, including zoopharmacognosy and bio-resonance, to help your horse feel and perform at their best.

Lindsay has a BSc (Hons) in Equine Science and is fully insured and registered with the International Association of Animal Therapists (IAAT).

Important Information

Horses that are currently under veterinary care or undergoing rehab, will be required to get veterinary permission prior to treatment, as stated by law. You will be required to sign a consent form to confirm that your Veterinarian is happy for the horse to be treated.

No permission is required for horses that are in general good health who are seeking treatment to maintain wellness, optimise performance or even aid behavioural issues. We do have duty of care to notify your vet if any pathologies are identified during assessment and treatment.

You will be asked to complete an online questionnaire that covers most aspects of your horse's health prior to the appointment. This will provide me with valuable insights and enable me to create a more accurate and tailored treatment plan for your horse’s specific needs.

After treatment it is recommended that the horse is allowed access to turn out or given space to rest. We do not advise riding the horse until the next day to allow for healing and processing

What is Equine Naturopathy?

Equine naturopathy focuses on supporting the horse’s innate healing ability, rather than suppressing symptoms. We look at the whole horse – diet, environment, stress, emotional state, and physical condition – to address underlying imbalances.

During a naturopathic consultation we will investigate your health from many angles. Using high-tech Bio-resonance Technology we will analyse your organ functioning, vitamin & mineral levels, heavy metal toxicities and do a full body bio-health scan to identify if there are any tissues that are under particular stress.

Stresses are often found in the form of:
- Pain & Inflammation
- Pathogens such as bacteria & viruses
- Emotional stresses & trauma
- Physical injury
- Environmental Toxins & pollutants
- Nutritional deficiencies

Common areas we can support include:

  • Digestive health

  • Skin and coat condition

  • Immune function

  • Behavioural and emotional balance

  • Recovery after illness or injury

Once we have identified the areas of stress, the same technology is then used to treat them. We formulate a treatment plan based on what we find, which may include follow-up sessions of bio-resonance to treat any pathogens & microbes or treat the different levels of structure from DNA, cellular structures, and tissues to whole organs.

Treatment recommendations may also include zoopharmacognosy and acupressure. Read more about each therapy below.

Bio-Resonance Therapy

Bioresonance therapy works on the principle that every cell in the body emits a specific frequency. Illness, stress, or injury can disturb these frequencies, creating disharmony. Continued stress can eventually lead to structural or physical change that may later require veterinary intervention.

Using gentle, non-invasive equipment, bio-resonance detects energetic imbalances and delivers corrective signals to help restore harmony in the body’s systems.

For horses, this can mean:

  • Faster recovery after exertion

  • Relief from chronic issues

  • Improved relaxation and focus

  • Enhanced overall vitality

Zoopharmacognosy

Zoopharmacognosy is the art and science of allowing animals to select natural remedies for themselves. Horses have an incredible instinct for knowing which plants, clays, or essential oils they need.

The word zoopharmacognosy comes from the Greek:

  • Zoo – animal

  • Pharma – remedy or medicine

  • Gnosis – knowing

It literally means “animals knowing how to self-medicate.”

In a session:

  1. We present a range of safe, high-quality natural substances (herbs, oils, clays, powders).

  2. Your horse is free to smell, lick, or otherwise indicate interest.

  3. We observe their choices and offer only what they clearly select.

This process gives your horse control over their own wellbeing and can address both physical and emotional needs.

Equine Acupressure

Equine acupressure is based on the same principles as acupuncture, but uses the hands instead of needles.

By applying gentle pressure to specific points, we can:

  • Improve circulation

  • Release muscle tension

  • Support joint mobility

  • Boost immune function

  • Encourage natural healing responses
